Removing your data Sometimes, we want to go above and beyond and remove anything data related. First, it's worth noting that any data we gather for our various Wordtune features is immediately processed through an anonymization pipeline & is only used for optimizing Wordtune models. This means that any personal information such as names, email addresses, physical addresses, etc., are all removed automatically. Additionally, you may simply want us to delete anything that has to do with your account - conversations with us, sign up history, etc. In the event you decide to delete your Wordtune account, you will lose all the information you have stored in Wordtune Editor as well as any documents you have saved in the Editor. This action cannot be undone. To request data deletion, follow these steps:
Submit a Data Deletion Request: Send a request to Wordtune's support team. Include identifying details such as your name and the email address associated with your account.
Verify Your Information: Ensure that the email address you provide matches the one associated with your Wordtune account. If the email is not found in their records, double-check for accuracy.
Optional Tools: You may use third-party tools like Mine to assist with submitting your request. If applicable, include a request ID for reference. Once your request is received, Wordtune will process it and begin the data deletion process.
Consequences of Data Deletion
Your Free/Basic account associated with your email address will be permanently deleted.
You will need to register a new account if you wish to use Wordtune again in the future.
Confirmation and Timeline for Data Deletion
Confirmation of Request: After submitting your request, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that the deletion process has begun.
Completion Notification: Once the deletion is complete, you will be notified.
Timeline: The complete removal of all personal data from backend systems may take up to 30 days. If you prefer that Wordtune doesn’t capture the content of your writing, or would like us to remove all data related to your account, please click on the messenger icon in the bottom right hand corner of this screen to reach someone from the team.
