How to Disable the Wordtune Extension on Specific Websites
📌 You can temporarily disable Wordtune by toggling "paraphase" off. You'll no longer see the Wordtune floating icon when you temporarily disable the Wordtune extension. Instructions below
To temporarily disable the Wordtune Chrome extension on a specific website:
Your Wordtune extension will appear at the top right corner of your page, either pinned to the toolbar or under the puzzle icon. Click on it.
Under "Settings for this site", toggle "Paraphrasing" on/off.
Click the Wordtune extension icon again to re-enable the extension on that website.
For Microsoft Edge users, click the puzzle at the top right corner of the page to disable Wordtune Extension
For Firefox users, click the puzzle at the top right corner of the page to disable Wordtune Extension

💡 Still hoping to summarize Youtube videos with our redesigned extension? Not a problem. You can still summarize documents, links, and any copied text within Wordtune Editor. Follow the 5 steps below:
Turn on Captions: On the lower right-hand of a Youtube video, click the "CC" button to enable captions.
Open the transcript: Scroll down to the description of the video until you see the blue highlighted-text "Show Transcript."
Locate the transcript: The transcript will appear to the right of the video. You'll find three vertical dots at the top of the transcript. Click those dots, and then click the "Toggle timestamps."
Copy the transcript: Click and drag to highlight the entire transcript text. Then, copy by either pressing CTRL + C (Windows) or CMD + C (Mac).
Paste text into Wordtune: Paste the transcript text directly into the Wordtune Editor - Summaries section. Upload a new summary, and paste text under the "Paste Text" tab. Then, Wordtune will generate your summary.

☝🏼Wordtune works only with "Pages" set up on Google docs, so if you're on "Pageless" you can switch to "Pages" mode to use Wordtune.
To set up Wordtune Extension on Google docs:
Select "File" from the menu
Select “Page setup”
Choose “Pages”
💡Make sure Wordtune is enabled and pinned to your browser.
